Gonorrhea-sexually transmitted diseases(STDs)
For everyone
- but especially for adults
Gonorrhea is
a bacterial infection that is usually spread through sexual contact. The
disease usually occurs in the form of painful blisters on your genitals or
mouth. Gonorrhea is spread through unprotected sex.
After initial infection, the gonorrhea bacterium can remain in your body for decades
before it becomes active again and again. Early gonorrhea can be treated easily
and quickly, but if the disease becomes chronic or the patient hides the
disease, the disease becomes incurable. Without treatment, the gonorrhea
bacterium can cause severe damage to your heart, brain, or other organs, and the
infected man can kill his wife and newborn babies.
Gonorrhea
spreads in three stages and the symptoms of each stage may be different.
The symptoms
of early gonorrhea can be as follows:
Primary Gonorrhea
The disease
begins with the appearance of lesions on the genitals. A sore appears where
bacteria have entered your body. In men, the urethra is the first victim. In
women, the vagina becomes sore. Remember, the first stage of the disease can be
cured with four to six weeks of standard treatment.

Secondary gonorrhea - a secondary
disease
In the
second stage, the disease appears in the form of sores all over your body, up
to the soles of the hands and soles of the feet. It can also cause wart-like
lesions in the mouth or genitals.
In addition,
hair loss in patients may cause muscle pain, fever, sore throat, but genital
warts must be present.
Level 3 disease - worsening stage
If you are
not being treated for gonorrhea, the disease progresses from the second to the third
stage
Gonorrhea
can damage your brain, nerves, eyes, heart, blood vessels, liver, bones, and
joints if left untreated.
The
gonorrhea bacteria most commonly enter your body from an infected person during
sexual activity.
Even with a
kiss or during childbirth in a pregnant mother, a baby can transmit the disease
directly through the mother.
Note that
the disease is not spread by the use of clothing, bathing together in the
swimming pool, toilet seat, or eating utensils.

Reasons
The most
common causes of the disease are:
Ø Sexual intercourse with more than one
person
Ø Homosexuality
Ø Gonorrhea without treatment also
increases the risk of HIV infection and, for women, can cause problems during
pregnancy. Besides that
Ø Stroke
Ø Inflammation and coma of the meninges,
Eardrums, and eyes
Ø Memory loss
Heart and
blood vessel problems are also included. Most importantly, gonorrhea patients
have a 90% higher risk of giving birth to blind children.
Pregnancy and birth complications
If you are
pregnant, you can pass gonorrhea to the baby, which can kill the baby in
the first ten days after birth.
There is no
vaccine available for gonorrhea.
To help
prevent the spread of gonorrhea, follow these tips:
Ø Limit sexual activity to one partner
only.
Ø Use condoms. But they do not
completely eliminate the risk of disease
Ø Drug use lowers the body's immune system, which increases your risk of contracting the disease
Make
screening mandatory for pregnant women so that the disease can be detected in a
timely manner and with proper treatment, the risks to the baby's life can be
reduced.
Appraisal
Blood
samples can be used to diagnose the disease
If the
disease is complicated, the germs of the disease can also be diagnosed in the
spinal cord material.
You can also
avoid this disease by keeping yourself away from prostitutes
Treatment
When
diagnosed and treated in the early stages, gonorrhea is easier to treat. The
preferred treatment in all stages is the use of antibiotics which can kill the
germs of this disease.
